Ultra Crimson Carry II report

Went to the range and ran 150 rounds of UMC and 10 rounds each of star Fire and HTP American gunner ammo through the pistol.

The star fire and HTP ran without a hitch.

The UMC after about 100 rounds had 2 FTF. That ammo is some dirty stuff, real smoky.

was that your first range session with your Crimson? It is surprising how accurate those shorty 1911s are, they can be finicky but when you get a good one its a great addition to the armory.

Yea, first range session. I had a colt officers model back in the 90's that I could clover leaf with at 15 yards.

This one shoots better in my opinion.

My exsperiance with them and most other guns get better the more you shoot them.
I was a Colt guy back in the day, bought my first Kimber in 2001. Sold the Colts and bought more Kimbers. I have a CDP Ultra that has been a fantastic little 1911 right out of the box, over 2000 rounds fired and zero problems. Had another manufactures three inch 1911 before it, that would not make it through a mag without a FTF/FTE. Tried everything to get that gun running right and it would not do it. Sold it and sometime later bought the Kimber, was pleasantly surprised how great it ran.

I also have a UC2. The guys are right, the more you shoot them the better they work. I would also suggest you clean yours and make sure you have good lube on all of the contact points.
