Pictures of problem

I have not be home early enough to call Kimber, but I wanted opinions on what you think. Not sure if you can see clearly what has happened to the finish I just don' think that is normal for a new firearm.

I'd call Kimber and have them fix it if it was mine.

I agree with Chuck. These firearms cost to much to let go.

I sure feel bad for ya Karen. Two shooters in the last couple of months with a bad finish. What are you using to clean them ?

I don't know whether to be amazed that your grip is so strong as to remove the finish off the gun, or frightened that your calluses are so rough as to remove the finish off the gun.

Definitely would send that back to Kimber to find out what caused that and repair..

That is disappointing Karen. I have guns over 10 years old that are about $500 and they never had finish issues.

Hoppe's M-Pro 7 Gun Cleaner, when we told them the last time what we were using it was all good. I think they have a problem with their finishing department.

What are the odds I would get the same service person as when we sent in my Raptor? Yep, Landon...he of course asked what we were using to clean the CDP and its just so strange for me to have two firearms with coating problems. Nothing about them having issues with finish coating, Nope. So back it goes... Shoot now I will have to shoot honey's Colts as my range firearm.
