Decided to go to the range today since they still had lanes open & we didn't have other plans.
I took my Super Carry Pro HD & my Sig P226. Mr. Chickadee took his Springfield friends (TRP Operator & EMP 9mm). No issues with any of the pistols!
I shot mostly 'programs' with my Super Carry - the range has Meggitt target carriers that can run programs where they go to a specified distance between 3 -25 yards & then rotate to either be on 'edge', or with either the back or front facing the shooter. Different folks run these programs differently. For me I place the loaded pistol on the table, safety on, in between each target position, hands at my sides.
For the first target I ran the program titled 'Basic - Medium', shot at center mass attempting 2 shots per target location. This round was a little messy.
Next I ran the same program & only went for 1 head shot per target location - much better. After that run I shot several rounds at center mass at a static 7 yards (trying to clean up that target, not pictured
For the 2nd target I used the same program, but alternated shooting at the head vs. center mass.
Third target is with the Sig P226 at 7 yards. Interesting note: the Sig had been destined for a trip back to the mothership for worsening issues with FTE - it likes to leave the spent brass in the chamber. Today it functioned flawlessly, which it has NEVER done before.... Maybe it knew about my plans....
