UCII vs PCII

I would like to use it as EDC but at the same time its ready for target shooting. If you are into this situation, which is the one? Any good and bad reputation with either of them?

Thanks!

My $0.02, no difference, We have plenty of folks that carry either of these. I think everyone will tell you, practice with what you are going to carry, so in that way, you get both a carry and range gun. If you want to 'compete' some might argue the Pro would give you a slightly better site picture, but again, if you are proficient with an Ultra, you may be OK, and have fun.

I got a SS Ultra TLE for Christmas, it was my first Ultra in 45acp. I was very hesitant to get a 45 with a 3” barrel because I’ve had a few polymer 45s with a 3” barrel. I now carry the TLE more than my Eclipse Pro II. I’m amazed at how well I’ve been shooting this TLE at the range.
It really comes down to personal choice, choosing one would difficult for me but if you are going to carry the Ultra is a bit easier to conceal and it is a good range gun.

It’s probably not going to be the last one you buy so go for the one you like now and I’m sure you can come up with a reason to buy the other later on.

This last paragraph is wise advise.
Of the owner of several Ultra's and Pro's, either can do what you need. I carry either a CDP Ultra or RCP Ultra, rotate according to my mood. Truthfully I must, slow down, bear down and really concentrate to see even the slightest accuracy advantage of my most accurate Pro model over any of my Ultra's, an my Stainless Ultra Raptor is possibly the most accurate Ultra I have.

I decided to buy the PC2 SS in 45acp. $749 in Cabelas. Plus PC2 has FO installed.

Congrats on your new shooter. Ya can't go wrong either way with your choice. I have a couple of both models and shoot them both just as accurately. The UCII is easier to hide, but not by much.

Congrats on your new Kimber. Pro size is my favorite and the one I carry the most.
