NEED Ultra Elite replacement sights

Just picked up an Ultra Elite .45acp

When I receive it the original factory sights will be burned out.
I contacted Truplo to see if they had recommendations and they said that because of the heavy melt on the front of the slide that there would be an obvious gap.

Kimber informed me to send them the slide and they could replace the factory sights for $129 plus $35 install and $7 shipped back.

Do you all have any sight recommendations for me as far as any options like heinie ledge rear and a certain height front, fiber or otherwise?
My understanding is that the sight from the factory is .180 front and a .360 rear.

Thank you for any advice you could give.

You have an oldie but goodie UC-Elite. They're the precursor to the CDP and 2,700 were made in '99, prior to the CDP coming out. I would keep the same type of sights that they came with if it were mine just to have original equip on it.. Ask Kimber what the part number would be and order them and have a local gunsmith put them on. Mine would only charge me $20, but if yours would be a bit more you could just send it to Yonkers and have them do the work.

That sure is a good looking shooter.

Thanks, Marshall. Sound advice.
I had one when they first came out but sold it. It was a very good shooter.
Just scratching an itch to replace it that has bothered me for a long time.
Might have overpaid a little for the gun but it's 95% from all accounts.
Will be glad to have one again to put in the carry rotation!

I agree with my Brother Marshall. Use Kimber sights. Love the heavy carry melt on the Elite. I have seen pics of those before just didn't remember the name.
I have a CDP great pistol.

This is a picture of the actual gun.
Learning to add pics, figured I might as well try it here. LOL

You have a great little piece of Kimber history there. If you have to replace the sights I'd use Kimber sights and keep the original ones, don't toss them.
