Kimber Custom II

I bought a new Custom II two tone a couple weeks ago and I finally found time to take it to the local range after work last work last night. I installed a Kimber magwell and a set of Meprolight night sights on it a week ago. I fired 350 rds of Remington 230 grain FMJ and 40 rds of Federal Hydra Shok I had sitting in one of my ammo tins. The pistol suffered zero issues and is quite accurate to boot.

I used three each, Wilson 47D, Mec Gar 8 rd, Checkmate 8 rd Hybrid and Checkmate 10 rd Hybrid magazines. No feeding issues with any of them and I was kind of expecting a bobble or two from the extended 10 rd magazines.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this 1911 so far. I will try to repeat the range trip with it next week and see how it does again.

I've had one for a couple of years. Lots better than either of the Colts I USED to have.

I have a Two Tone Custom II with a .460 Rowland conversion kit. It's a fantastic gun for the money, more accurate then I am, 100% dependable and can go from mild to wild just by changing the ammo in the magazines.

I bought a Two Tone not long ago and plan on doing the 460 Rowland kit like Chuck.

Yep two peas in a pod.

I've had mine for 3 or 4 years now with around 3000 thru it with no problems. Of course you have to keep up with the spring changes to keep it running smooth.

My upgrades over the years include: tungsten guide rod, some nice look'n VZ grips & custom screws, Truglo TFX sights, smith & Alexander mainspring housing with slimline magwell, and then had some checkering done on the front of the grip and trigger guard.

It flips and dips just the way I like it for the ammo I always use. Love the gun.

I bought mine a week ago. The fist thing I did was order a SS mainspring / mag-well from Klonimus. (klonimus.com) You guys should check him out. Very well made parts at a fraction of the cost. He also has a e-bay store. I also add a set of black horn grips. Came out rather well. When I figure out how to post pix. I will show it off.
