Angry The scariest malfunction I have ever seen

6 month old Kimber Pro Carry II stainless
500 rounds through the gun so far
At around round number 75 this session, I noticed something very wrong about my barrel....Thank God it did not blow up and hurt me and my daughter who was taking turns shooting with me.

I hope customer service is willing to help make this right. I was going to use the gun in a class coming up in 17 days.

From the marks at the end of the barrel (has some gouges) looks like this barrel missed the heat treat cycle. The end of the barrel wasn't like that from factory (off set)? Can't see just shooting doing that even to a non heat treated barrel.

That's certainly a crazy failure.
If you look through the barrel from either side, what does the bore look like? Is it straight, or is it distorted, as well? Is it possible that the barrel was like this from the factory, and you didn't notice?

It almost looks as if the barrel either shifted or was not set up properly in the lathe or grinder, and their quality control failed to catch the flaw.

Looks like a normal barrel judging by all the photos on the net.
