getting bummed out

Went to the range today, mostly to sight in an AR. But of course I decided to bring my Stainless II still getting use to the one dot sight and when its on its on, just need to keep myself in that zone...

Now the bad part, while cleaning the 45, felt a rough edge on a rail, looked a whole lot closer and seems the frame has a crack, or very rough spilt... can catch it with fingernail... want to send to someone at Kimber but cant find an email address or who to...

What does the experts here think? I guess Ill probably send it back, just bummed out...

...looks like it could be easily smoothed out? Don't you have a Dremel?

...Just kidding, I'd send the hole thing in for a COMPLETE inspection. Maybe something else got past QC too? If the problem is only cosmetic they'll clean it up. If it's more they'll make it right.

Looks like a casting flaw which could lead into problems down the road - Give them a call and ask for a return shipping label - they are a pretty good group.See if you can talk to Jay Winton.....
