Is this normal? WC magazines

Hello everybody.

Recently I purchased few Wilson Combat and Mec-Gar magazines for my Kimber Pro Carry II 9mm. While still waiting for my gun to arrive I decided to do some work on the magazine springs and started loading them up with ammo
Now, two things i have noticed.
The first one. After loading up WC magazines I was basically unable to unload them by pushing rounds out of it When I tried to press the primer, round would nosedive and hit the front lip of the magazine basically preventing it from going forward. Honestly i don't see how a gun could cycle properly using these magazines Hope I'm wrong.
Second thing. Rounds in the Mec-Gar magazines go all the way back against the wall where in WC magazines there is a small space between bullets primer and magazines back wall.
Is this normal?

Can't comment on the Mec Gear mags, but I've noticed the same thing with my WC mags.

BUT.....the real test is loading them up and shooting them. I've found that although I see the same issue as you, none of my WC mags has failed in any way in either my .45's or nines, Ultra's, Pro's, or full size Custom Kimbers.

Guess it's really nothing to fret about, but I see your point.

Exactly the kind of reply I was hoping for

Well it's the first round in the magazine so there is no other round loading. Wilson Combat 1911 magazines are the only ones that I know of with this kind of issue
