ultra carry 9

Hello:
coming from solo forum after tinkering with the solo, as a project for >2 years, to make it dependable, 3rd time back to Yonkers.
Kimber is going to exchange the solo for a ultra carry 9mm.
Kimber is being forthright:good folks.
Anything i should be aware of in the ultra carry as i take my first steps with a 1911?

You're going to love the Ultra, read the owners manual, clean and lube it and you should be good to go.

Congrats on the UC9mm, I think you will enjoy it. I bought a used one for 6 bills, it's been a great shooter. I had a spare Crimson Trace laser grip in Red so I threw it on for giggles.
I agree with Chuck, clean and lube.

Nice score, Phil.
The Ultra Carry is a MUCH nicer gun.
And 1911's in 9mm are SO fun.

Nice move going from a Solo to an Ultra! Congratulations! You will soon love your new pistol as most of us here do. The Ultra's are most excellent carry pieces.

I have two Ultra CDP's, a .45 and 9mm. Both are 100% reliable, both are in my CC rotation along with my Micro 9 for summer weather.

Once you're familiar with your new Ultra, you'll see the joy of carrying and shooting a 1911 and see what all the fuss has been about.
