Ultra CDP. Any thoughts?

Looking to pick up a Ultra CDP in 9mm. Anyone have experience with the CDP? Already own a Ultra Carry ll in .45 and it's a serious tack driver. Also my daily carry piece. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions you may have.

Been CC'g CDP Ultra .45 for 5 years now 100% reliable, 100% accurate...I'm not always but the pistol is. Nine MM CDP will be the same.
Finish is holding up well, no signs of wear.

I have two, one in each caliber. They get two thumbs up for each one for a total of four thumbs up. Buy it, you won't be sorry....

I have an Ultra CDP II in .45 ACP. It's 100% reliable and smooth as silk. It's a shockingly good shooter. I'll bet the 9mm is sweet as honey.

Same for me. Very reliable handgun. I don't even remember the last stoppage.

I have a CDP Ultra in both 9mm and .45, both very accurate easy shooting guns that you could trust your life with.

Question from a newbie again and I'm asking the best way I know how. Besides the different looks of different models and parts differences like an ambi or non ambi safety, sights, etc., or all Ultra's made the same? Is anyone more refined or more tuned and polished inside than the other?

Just because some have Custom Shop on the slide, are they better? I bought my Aegis Elite Ultra 9mm a few weeks ago and was thinking of another but wanted to find out if one was better, MORE RELIABLE, than another. Thanks for opinions or your response.

I agree with what has been said IRT the Ultra's. I also have two, a nine and .45, both fitted with Kimber Thin Micarta grip panels (old war wound forces thin). Both are 100% reliable and are my daily EDC's.

Out of all my handguns, Colts, Kimbers, Sig, whatever, these two are my absolute favorites. Perfect weight to size ratio, both with plenty of horsepower for unwanted social events.

Jim D: I don't think you'll find one model of Ultra that is any more reliable than any of the others. Pick the one that appeals to you and shoot the snot out of it. Because of internet 'experts', I was worried early on that the 3" guns were prone to problems, especially the 9mm. But in my experience, it's all a bunch of bovine excrement, as both mine have run perfectly since Day One. The 9mm Ultra is a pure joy to shoot or carry all day.

BCD, internals of all Kimber 1911's are all the same, just different outside appearance and features.
Don't remember exactly when but maybe up until 5 years ago Custom Shop actually meant something, they received extra attention, fitting. Kimber stopped that but kept title.
