My 1st 1911 in over 30 years.....

.....now to play catch up and continue reading up and viewing videos.

Just bought a new Custom Stainless Raptor II today and really like how it feels in the hand. Actually went in to buy a Pro sized one but the 5" felt better balanced in my hand.

Definitively need practice taking this down and back together as it is a tad more challenging than the DA/SA autos I've owned over the years (Glock, SIG, S&W, H&K, & Beretta). Also, need to get this to the range. ** already have the Wilson mags

Here's a few pics with one side by side with my Glock 41

Beautiful pistol. Looks like you didn't bother to work your way up; you went straight to the top of the list.

Thanks - I actually first started looking at the TLE II once I decide I wanted to buy a 1911 - but wanted stainless, then made the mistake of going to Kimber's web site and set my sights on the Raptor. Once I saw it person, my pockets were emptied out.

Thanks and I agree, especially in person. Kimber really does a great job on these.

Beautiful! But ...

*Gasp*.....

Get it away from that Block before it touches the Raptor and makes it look cheap!

Good luck with it!

I have the same Raptor and it’s one of my favorite 1911s. Whenever I take someone to the range and let them shoot my guns the Raptor is always the favorite at the end of the day.
