Another Kimber!

I took my Stainless Pro Raptor II to the range and just fell in love! I ended up walking out of my LGS with another Kimber, a KHX Custom 10mm

Great looking gun, I'm getting an itch for a 1911 with an RMR.

Chuck, once you do, you'll wonder why you waited so long. I know I did.

Hitting with about every shot is a thing I can get used to......

How is the rmr? Any probs with astigmatism guessing you may have a touch like most?

I have been busy and not yet taken the gun to a range. Just playing with the RMR, IMO my Vortex Venom and Leupold is just as good and much cheaper!

Very nice KHX.

----

Been using reflex sights for 20 years. Aimpoint, Trijicon, Burris, Primary Arms, and some old Tasco PDP2s when they were made in Japan 20 years ago.

The wife has a Trijicon RMR 3.5moa on her AR. Light weight and simplicity of operation-- just pick up the rifle and it's GTG. Actually had the optic sitting around for a while waiting for something to put it on. I thought I'd put it on one of my Glocks but never got around to the slide milling and all that.

As far as astigmatism... a reflex sight is a reflex sight. From cheap to high-end, if the dot is the same size the eye won't know the difference. The dot with all my reflex sights look like a distorted cluster of grapes unless I have my distance glasses on.

I use reflex sights on my recreational guns and AR but no carry guns. S&W recently announce a new line of M&P Shield custom shop with red dot included which is very low mounted in the slide. The irons aren't tall suppressor sights but can still co-witness so they say. I'm looking forward to handling one.
