Thumbs up SS Target II rear sight

Here is a praise for Kimber customer service. My rear adjustable sight was actually wiggling in its dovetail. I called and spoke to Dawn P. and she arranged for me to return my SS Target II 9mm to the factory in Yonkers. On Friday May 3rd I handed over the parcel, as directed, to my UPS driver whom I know. It was received in Yonkers Monday May 6th, rear sight was replaced, test fired and returned to me arriving at my home at 2PM Friday May 10th. Actual total turn around time 5 days. Now that is what I call extremely great service!!

I'm sorry to hear that you had a problem and had to return your gun to Kimber for service but glad to hear that they stepped up and really took care of you.

Dawn is a princess of customer service, and I got the same turnaround on my Micro 9. Great customer service!

I have the same gun. I love my T-2 and after your first post I've kept a close eye on my sight but haven't noticed any loosening or wobbles. Mine shoots really well but the trigger seems just a little heavy for a "Target" pistol. Have you weighed your trigger L-T? Mine breaks clean, dead on 5 lbs. Which I know isn't bad but then I shoot my Sig TACOPS which breaks just under 4 lbs (call it 3.8).

Mine's still pretty new and I hope to put a few more rounds through it in the coming days. If the trigger doesn't lighten up after a longer break-in I may see about having a good gunsmith tune it up a little. I know 5 lbs isn't too bad for a carry gun but for one handed NRA Bullseye type shooting I would like to see it down around 3.5 or so.

Just curious how yours is right out of the box.

F.W.I.W., all my new Kimbers started out with the triggers on the heavy side (4.5-5.3 lbs) but between 500 and 800 rounds lightened up to 3.2- 4 lbs. Yeah, I'm the guy that measures and keep records on that kind of stuff. You need something to do between drinking coffee in the morning and bourbon at night besides walking the dogs.
