Nice. Kimber seems to have the Ultra sized guns figured out. What ammo are you shooting out of it?

I haven’t had one failure with my Ultra TLE either, just a great gun. If you didn’t already, it’s time to replace your outer recoil spring. Kimber recommends replacement at 1500 rounds.

At around 1300 rounds the recoil rod broke. Kimber sent me a new
recoil spring assembly.

Either WWB or Blazer Brass

Nice.

As mentioned earlier, Kimber does indeed have the Ultra figured out. After a while of reading reviews on a particular model gun I think ya get a good sense if a gun is generally troublesome or not, as well as a sense of fanboy nonsense and rationales like 'all guns have problems' when a particular model clearly has chronic issues.

Have a Pro TLE II and haven’t had the first issue. Not sure how many rounds but probably 1000+. Pretty much all home loads with 185, 200 gr SWC’s and 230 plated RN. Very excellent and very accurate pistol.

I have two Ultras too, one 9mm Aegis I bought 2 weeks ago and have run a wide variety of loads and bullet profiles with no issues. Also a 45 Ultra Custom two tone with 600-700+ rounds without a single issue from 185 & 200 lead and polymer swc’s to 230 RN plated.
