Kimber 40 S&W

Years ago, I recall Kimber made a lightweight frame .40 S&W caliber in a 4 inch(Pro?). Does anyone recall the model name of that gun and did they make it in any other barrel length?

Here’s a video, I’m not sure if the is the only 40 S&W from Kimber.

Wow I didn't even know those existed. The 1911 in .40 cal is a pretty rare bird, and with a lightweight frame even more so. I wonder how many they made?

Springfield still has the EMP but it's steel frame.

I had a pre series II gov't size in 40S&W. I bought it new in 2001. It was a stainless gun and the left side of the slide only had "stainless" stamped/roll marked on it. I foolishly sold it to a friend to purchase something else. Tried to buy it back but that was a no go. Wish I had it now. I've never seen another one.

I checked on Gunbroker this afternoon and found exactly zero Kimber .40s. Looks like chances are slim.

I have the full size Stainless and also the Compact Stainless in .40. I bought them when the Series I guns were drying up. They're keepers! An Ultra in .40 was also made, I'd love to add one of those to my collection!
