Successful day at the range!

So as part of my weight loss plan (No money = No food! ) I picked up a Pro TLE EM yesterday. Detail stripped it, lubed it, tighten all the stuff that was loose (Grip screws and mag well. Shot the mag well loose again so loctite this time!), and put it back together. Thought I might have a problem child on my hands as it was so tight but at the range I ran 125 rounds of 230gr FMJ thru it with no FTF/FTE whatsoever! Sights (or me) need pushed to the right a bit but I am really pleased! Love the all steel everything construction and the front strap checkering is a nice touch! Ought to make a fine companion just like the Ultra!

That looks just like the target I had when I first took my Remington R1S to the range. Fortunately it has an easily adjustable rear sight by means of a setscrew. You could tell just by looking at the top of the slide that the site was way off center.
Nice looking pistol by the way.

Thank you, sir! A quick tweak (Honestly thinking me not the gun. Been a while since I was behind the trigger...) and I think it will shoot as good as it looks!

Maybe you, but I kind of doubt it. It's pretty hard to mess up a shot with a 1911; unlike shooting a double action revolver with a much different trigger pull.

I'll take it back out and try some benched groups to see where it it actually hitting. I shot that poor Pro until it was to hot to hold! I'm sure this lovely 100 degree weather didn't help but I have the blister to prove it!

I sometimes pull left I think from tightening grip on my right hand as I squeeze the trigger. If I concentrate on keeping strong grip on my left hand i am more accurate.

Day two with the TLE and it needs a sight adjustment. Not sure what the distance was but it pulled about 4" to the left. The Ultra? Dead nuts! Time to call the Mothership!
