Can I....

Can I take a 9mm Aegis Elite Pro, change as needed to convert to 45acp.... Is it that "simple" so to speak?? I have to many 9mm's and all the frame and slide spec's are the same for both sizes...

Short answer: NO

Different ejector, different breach face, extractor in a 9mm slide.

However, you could use a complete .45 ACP slide and accomplish what you want.

Rick is 100% right on this, I've taken the slide from a 9mm Ultra CDP and swapped it with the slide from a .45 Ultra Tactical and they both worked perfectly.

Here's why I was asking. I put a red dot on my Aegis 4in 9mm.... Was not liking it like I thought I would. So messed up finish when I was taking it off, and here's my results for Kerakoting.
To many 9mm so was thinking about changing to a 45, but this is my favorite 9mm and most accurate..
So let me know what you think....

Sell one of the "to many 9mm's" that you like the least/don't shoot much and buy a .45 of your choice or keep them all and just buy a nice 45acp 1911.?
Just because you "can" swap a few parts and change a 9mm to a 45acp don't mean that you should! If you have any type of malfunctions or Heaven forbid a major issue (cracked frame or something) Kimber will void warranty and you will foot the bill.
I advise against going BubbaSmith'n and creating a Frankenstein 9mm/45 pistol.

From the photos the Cerakote refinish looks like factory color to me.

My .45s are a different frame from the 9mm, .40cal, and .357 cartridges. Heavier, wider, different grip for the heavier loading.
The finish looks great!

keeper

The slide was stock black, made it to look like the frame. The Aegis is way to sweet of shooter to get rid. But I did trade around but sweeten my collection a lot, here are 5 of 7 of my favorites...
