Kimber Master Carry Pro

Just traded in a bunch of bad purchases over the years for a 45 Kimber Master Pro Carry 4” barrel. Would really appreciate any comments if you have one. What’s the deal with Wilson combat mags not fitting??? It seems only Kimber mags work for this pistol?

Tmmoore, welcome to the site from Tennessee. Master Carry Pro is a fine pistol mine has been accurate and reliable, one of my most accurate as a matter of fact.

Someone tell you Wilson Combat magazines don't fit? Or you tried some? I have several WC, Chip McCormick, Joes1911magmania, old Colt, old no name mags, factory Kimber magazines, all fit and function fine.

Pro model Kimber's need Full size magazines. ANY 1911 magazine full size 45acp should fit and function in your Master Carry Pro.

Anything properly sized should fit and work well. Compact/Officer sized mags will be too short.

Welcome to the forum, I never had a problem with a WC magazine in any of my Kimber 1911s.

I'm running WC and Kimber mags in six of my Kimber 1911's in 9mm and .45. No issues in any of the guns with either brand of mag in both calibers.

Have you looked at a mag that will not release properly for scratches that may indicate a burr or similar issue in the frame recess? With literally thousands of both WC and Kimber mags running fine daily, I'd look at the pistol mag recess or possible damage to the mag giving the issues and binding in the mag recess.

Once you get her running properly, you'll love the pistol.

I have only ever run Kimber TacMags in my Kimbers, and never had an issue.
