Picked up my first kimber

So long story short. I own a bunch of glocks. I edc a 19 and shoot GSSF matches. I have a ria 1911 that’s been a great gun. But my brother has a couple of kimbers and I’ve always wanted one. I also wanted to start shooting a 1911 in some other competitions other than GSSF. I saw the rapide and fell in love but I wanted a 1911 in 9mm so I went to scheels to look at them today and they happened to have a aegis elite custom in 9mm in the used case. So I snagged it for 799 and even traded in one of my glocks in on it. Sorry for the long story.

Congratulations on your Aegis Elite Custom. Last month I finally got to see one in person. It’s a great looking 1911. I may eventually get one in a Pro series.

How can you not love a Kimber with a round butt?

Congrats on the new Aegis.

I have the same pistol, but with the Vortex Venom 6 MOA red dot mounted from the factory. To say this is the best shooting 1911 I own would be an understatement; it shoots better than I can. When I take her out for a steel session, there's sure along of "bang!-clang!" going on.

Now after about 1,000 rounds downrange, I'm convinced....these are real shooters! Good luck with yours, I'm sure it will be a shooter, just like mine. Happy Kimber Days.
