I have the Arctic model. I believe these are not permanent additions to the Kimber line, and that's why they aren't on the Kimber website.

They are probably made up of leftover parts and will only be for sale as long as there are parts with which to assemble them.

I'm pleased with mine except for the the excessively stiff spring which makes it harder to rack the slide and take the pistol down for cleaning.

I have a cheap ATI GI model. It's the same size as the Kimber, but heavier. It's easier to rack the slide on the ATI than on the Kimber. On the other hand, the Kimber is more attractive and has adjustable sights and the sights are easier to pick up.

I just picked up the Custom LW nightstar in 9MM and it shoots great right out of the box. It is a series 70 slide. There is no info about it on the Kimber web site. I went to register it and it is not in the list of guns. Called adn talked to customer service he said just mark it as a custom II. The trigger is very smooth and almost no take up at all.

Welcome to the forum from snowy Abilene Texas. I like you started my Kimber habit with a Kimber Custom II LW in 9mm. Loved it so much I purchased a LW in 45acp a few weeks later. I just last week picked up a Kimber Eclipse Custom II 10mm to round out my collection.

I also have the LW Arctic. I have about 300 rounds or so through it. No issues at all. My 1st 1911 and I love it!

I have the 9mm 1911 Stainless LW. I have stove pipe occurances and failure to slide lock on last round. When I shoot +p every thing runs flawless. The stock spring is 12. I received wolf 11 to 15 and asking if a lighter recoil spring might help. FYI, the stock setup makes this 1911 hard to rack compared to other 1911s

I ran wolf 11 recoil spring and Remington UMC 115 and shot 100 rounds. All good. I thought I had a lemon. Got to focus on accuracy and shot plate rack at 25 yards. Big WHEW. I wonder if the stock spring is really 12 lbs.
