The Stainless LW is an aluminum frame and stainless slide. The Stainless is a stainless frame and slide.

We don't play that way on this forum, you ask a question, you get an answer not a hard time. We don't tell people to use the search button.

Yes, LW are pretty new, I think 3 different models, not advertised on the Kimber website available at Bass Pro, other big box stores, other local gun shops. Some out the door prices under 500 bucks. Not a lot of bells and whistles but everything you need, good basic pistols. I'll need some help I can't remember there exact model names.

Hi, And welcome to the world of Kimber. The only problem is, they are like tater chips. You need more than one. I believe this model is kind of like the Custom II. A entry level Kimber. It gives you the chance to get your feet wet, and enjoy a well made 1911. It shoots straight and accurate right out of the box. I am sure that you will like it, and get the itch to own another. Who knows maybe you will get the "can't leave well enough alone" syndrome, and add a ambi safety, or SS MSH, magwell, custom grips, etc... Yes it happens. Don't hesitate to ask questions, the people on here will be more than happy to answer to the best of their ability. I own a Kimber Classic Stainless myself.
