New Member Question about a Covert

Hey guys,

New member here that just joined. Need some advice.

Ive been in the market for a while for a 1911 carry and Kimber always catches my eyes.

My LGS has a Kimber Ultra Covert II with laser grips and night sights. It comes with everything in the box and is in real good condition. It is in the two tone color combination with camo crimson grips. They are asking $900.

I called Kimber and the manufacture date is April 2008, so it is on the older side.

Is this a fair deal or should I pass?

Thanks in advance

If your in CA it is priced good, if not, I would look at gunbroker or offer $750? But that’s just me.

As I am looking on the web a little, doesn’t seem to be a bad price.

You can buy a brand new one on GB for around $1200, so $200 more for a new gun that is not 12 yrs old.

Decisions, decisions ....

They are almost sold out of all guns they have and they had ALOT. I dunno where you are at but here in Houston, at the moment, gun stores are pretty much selling out.

This was owned by one of the guys in the store so I know its in great shape. I guess ill check other stores out and see if they might have the new one ...

If it is one owner and it was the shop guy, probably can’t go wrong, it won’t be your last Kimber you purchase!!
