I like mine. Shoots well and is comfortable to carry. I was a little disappointed in a couple spots that occurred in the finish of the frame. Kimber would probably fix it if I sent it in. It doesn't bother me that much in an EDC piece. I like them to look nice but I was afraid that a new coating might end up the same as what I already have. I may send it in if I decide I'm going to part with it and get it pretty for sale.

Full disclosure I don't own that exact model but I do have a few Ultra's. I don't know of any "Cons" to tell you about. My Ultra's are concealable, accurate and have been reliable since day one. Some (maybe 2) of them seem to be more accurate than the others by just a little.

Well maybe one Con, buying Kimber's can be addictive!

The only con I can think of is you have to replace the outer recoil spring every 1500 rounds. Not a big deal but it’s the only thing I can think of right now.

My EDC is a Kimber Ultra Tactical II and like John and Skip my only con is replacing the outer recoil spring every 1500 rounds.

Cleaning can be a pain. Other than that, there are no faults with the Ultra II. I just qualified with mine again, yesterday. It just keeps puttin them where it point it!

Congrats!

Re: Cleaning etc.. the videos on this site are great for using the tools and knowledge of our fellow users...also there is a little tool from
NDZ that works very well instead of the "paperclip"...well worth the few $$. Makes tear down easy.

enjoy
