New Kimber

Well after thinking about it for weeks I purchased a Kimber Custom LW with gray laminate grips. It first started off at my LGS but he wanted $799 plus tax! I thought that was high so I kept looking at internet and finally found one for a total price of $612! I am happy that i waited but wished I could have purchased locally since I worked at that store for 7 years but owner would not go down on price.Oh well, I am sure I will enjoy it. Might be here by end of the week. When I get it I will post pictures.

Looking around the Internet, it seems like most places are taking advantage of the lack of stock.

Well fired 100 rounds thru it this morning, no problems with it at all, very accurate pistol. The only problem I did have an extremely hard time removing the barrel bushing both taking out and putting it back in. Have never had a problem with any other guns except this one. May have to get some very fine sand paper and rub it down a little. Not even lubing helped the situation. I guess time will tell.

Hey huskyman!!! ...welcome to the forum from north Alabama just shy of the Tennessee line...
...you may want to give the Kimber tech guys a call and explain your situation before you "get some very fine sand paper and rub it down a little"

I did call Kimber today and they told me they make them with very tight bushings. They documented problem but told me to shoot it more and see if it loosens up. Oh well, bought a metal bushing tool to help with problem. Hopefully it will loosen up with time.
