Thoughts on Raptor 2 Stainless

Greetings and hope all is well. Time to add another pistol to the arsenal. I really want a Raptor 2 in Stainless 45 ACP. The older brother to my Raptor 380. How is the quality currently. Any issues ? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Other options would be sig sauer or Springfield but really want the Kimber. Had some issues with my 380 but customer service got it right (took a couple of times). 380 still finicky with ammo but I found what works and what does not. Are the 45ACP the same. Are they fusy?

I have a SS Raptor 5”, it’s my favorite 45. It has been 100% flawless. I love the tactical wedge sights. It looks great, doesn’t feel cheap, tight fit and a great shooter. Not much to not like.

I have the Ultra version of the Stainless Raptor (3). It runs flawless so the full size is a no brainer on reliability. 5 Stainless Raptor is probably one of the best 1911s Kimbers produced and a top seller. Cant go wrong.

I have all three sizes of SS Raptor's. I going to say No, they won't be fussy. Clean it, lube it, shoot it. The slickest of the 3 I have is the Ultra bought from one of our members. He had Froglube'd it and I added BreakFree and it is slick as butter.
I'm assuming your talking the Full size 5" sometimes called or referred to as Custom or in this case sometimes just called Raptor.
This is how times have changed I snagged the custom on GunBroker awhile ago for $975, bet it will be more than that in todays prices. I did have an issue once but it turned out to be a cracked stainless magazine and not a pistol issue.
