SS Raptor MSH

I just replaced the MSH on my new Raptor to get rid of the plastic one. I didn't have to, I just wanted to. I've been dealing with this guy that has his own biz selling parts for 1911's, etc. When I was cerakoting my Colt, I had complete pachmyer grips all around. The orig kit had there own MSH coated in rubber to match grips. For the life of me, couldn't find my orig. so I ordered one from him and it was perfect. So I ordered another again for the Raptor. Looks much better and almost looks like it was made for it. I'll prob never use it but got the model with a lanyard loop just for the helluva it.
This guy makes some really nice stuff and can recommend him easily. Just go on ebay and search 1911 Fusion

Picture does it no justice. Looks perfect and fit was perfect.

Some before and after shots.

Yes, looks almost like the front strap. Other than the amount of links, they look almost perfect. You'd never know it wasn't a Kimber part. They have other models, but this had the closest style. They also have the same style as the plastic one plus a couple others in diff finishes. If you have a full size raptor, they have polished stainless too.

I thought it looked like the chainlink style..I put the same one on my PC45 and the snakeskin style on the PC9..

After seeing yours, the same one will go on my UC Raptor just in the black..

Best 35 bux I spent on it so far. In fact, I can't see changing anything else. It's just perfect.

bhunted,

Where did you get it for $35? I have been looking and the ones I see are $50. I am wanting to change 3 of them and that adds up quickly.

Also, I have watched all kinds of videos on the install and guys say everything from "strip the whole gun to just "lock the grip safety with a rubber band" What was your method?
