Magazine recommendations for Custom ii two tone

Hi all I am new to this forum being a new Kimber owner. The gun seems flawless other than a few FTF's while using federal aluminum casings. I would love to here your recommendations and part #s this is a 7 round mag.

Also I have been using Ballistol for cleaning and lube for all of my guns does this seem to work well with the Kimber 1911's?

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois deatly33 and congratulations on the new Kimber. I have 20+ KimPro Tac-Mags and a bunch of mags from Joes1911magmania and have never had a problem with any of them.

As for cleaning the gun, I been using Hoppes #9 since I was first taught to clean guns in the 40's but I don't really think it matters what you use as long as your doing it.

Call me old fashioned but I never use steel or aluminum cased ammo in my guns, strictly brass.

First off, welcome to the forum. There are a number of threads on the forum on the subject of magazines. You'll find a bunch doing a search. But in the meantime, Kimber Pro Tac, Wilson Combat, and an eBay seller named Joe's mags are popular with our members. As to the Ballistol, it'll work just fine.

+1 on the KimPro Tac Mags. I also run a couple Wilson Combats that work fine.

Welcome from Northeast, Pa deatley. Several members use joes1911magmania. I've seen his magazines on eBay. I use Wilson Combat and Kimber Mags and they also work fine.

I've never used ballistol but I've heard good things about it. I used Hoppes #9 for cleaning and Shooters Choice FP-10 for oiling.Kimber recommends FP-10 so I tried it. I think it works well.

As far as ammo, Kimber recommends 230gr ball ammo. I'm not a fan of aluminum cased ammo. I would recommend brass cased ammo.
