2016 SS Ultra Carry II

Anyone else seen that some new 2016 models are listed on sites, I guess gone is the black grip, replaced with a nice rich wood one.

Also, it appears there will be a huge price difference between the SS Ultra Raptor in 9mm and the SS Ultra Carry, what am I missing besides some aesthetics, night sights and the front strap stippling

Sweet looking gun, Kimber is in the process of upgrading their line for the new year. Some models are being dropped and others being given makeovers. They are also offering some of their established models that were once strictly .45 now in 9mm.

107 views and....Ok.

I can't figure out why the newer wood grip ones are selling for less than the black grips ones...

Anyway, I guess I'll just wait for the Raptor since I like night sights and like the ambi safety for a carry gun. My LGS is usually 15% less than MSRP but that still in the mid $1,200 range...

I agree, I like my SS Ultra Carry because I got a good deal on it but I love my SS Ultra Raptor even better.

Correct me if I am wrong I noticed some ultras on Gun broker that were all blued that come with night sights now where previously they were just low profile and no dots. There still is not and ambi safety on this model. Iwould like being left handed. I wonder how much it would cost to change the safety to ambi.

You can buy the ambidextrous safety from Kimber for about $60.00.

Wow. At that price if I hare to have an alloy gun I would get the CDP. If steel frame was okay I would look at adding the ambi to a stainless TLE Ultra. It has checkering and night sights. Oh but there is the Ultra Tactical...

More pricey but awesome is the Dan Wesson ECO!
