How many around here have an RCP?

I've gathered that a couple of us around here have the RCP. I'm curious who carries theirs regularly, what you carry with, your likes and general dislikes and how long you've had it. If you once had the RCP but sold/trade/gave it away - why? After all it's KIMBERtalk!

I don't know for certain but I think I was the first member here to buy a RCP, early part of 2014. My RCP is still undergoing break in and evaluation. It has been 100% reliable without any malfunctions and will be in full rotation soon. I have CC'd it 4 or 5 times. I trust it. I love it and have not found anything I don't like about it. The "trench" sights take some concentration and adjustment.
Bad boy is a hand full when firing Speer Gold Dot 185gr +P hollow points.

I think there are only three RCP owners here that I know of.

Glokrok, FYI: Don't know if you are interested or aware but Colt makes an almost identical model to the RCP it is called a New Agent. I been thinking about picking up one of the Colt New Agent just for the heck of it. One good reason in my opinion GunBroker has several NA Colts listed for sale at some pretty low prices. I saw one for $769.00. Some used some new.

I did enjoy reading the article you posted, very interesting. I did not know it had a Match Barrel.

I went back and forth in my mind between the New Agent or RCP, before ordering the RCP. The tipping point was the very good Kimber CS I experienced when my Solo needed help.

Sound logical thinking. Thankfully never had to use Colt or Kimber customer service.

This morning I FINALLY got a chance to get to my (not so local) LGS and pick up the RCP. Once we get it cleaned up and it stops raining, we'll take it outside here on the farm and see if it can hit the broadside of the barn. Here are a couple pics, the oily mess isn't mine, it's from Yonkers. Initially, I like the (bobbed or abbreviated) size of the beavertail. I'll reserve further comment until it's put some rounds out the end.

Looking good!
Say, I see you are located in IN. Where is your LGS that you mention. I frequently go to Top Gun in Terra Haute, IN. I have purchased a few guns from them. I was planning to hit the range as well his afternoon, but that rain keeps threatening to ruin my plans.

Greetings Donald! I live in Bloomington. My not so LGS is in Jasper. It's a little bit of a haul but I like how they operate. I do come to Terre Huate often, we have 2 sons at Rose Hulman right now.

GoingSolo, congrats on the new RCP (LG) I am certain you will be able to hit a "barn" with the RCP. It is going to be a lot more accurate than you think.
Snug the grip screws before you go!
