Wilson Combat mags ?

I was looking a the WC 1911 10 round Elite Tactical magazines in 9mm. They seem to be about the best quality I've seen. I noticed a note below the product description on the Brownell's site. It says that there may be a problem with "some Kimber 1911s" because of an "undressed barrel feed ramp" causing a clearance issue? They also mention it's easily fixed by a gunsmith.
Has anyone tried these mags? If so, did you have any problems?
Thanks :-)

...I suppose, depending on what you're into? That Wilson Combat site is kind of the "PLAYBOY" of gun sites :-)

I recently purchased 2 WC mags for my Ultra CDP II, they have been flawless for me, no issues at all.

Of note, these are just the standard WC .45 ACP magazines.

To answer your question, no I have not tried the WC 10 round Elite Tactical 9mm magazines. Can't speak of there function.

FYI, I and several other members have been using from ebay joes1911magmania magazines. I have about 10 each of his stainless full size and compact 9mm magazines. They work perfectly and are a lot less expensive than Wilson Combat magazines.
Joes are fine range magazines don't know how you want to use them.

Not trying to say you should not buy WC magazines, I have a few in .45acp some cheaper ones are out there.

I bought one for my Kimber 1911 Custom II. I love it! Easier to load than my Kimber magazine. Shot about a 100 rounds with it. It worked great with no problems.

I have the Joe's page saved too. I've seen several mentions here about their quality, they look to be a good option as well. I had called Wilson to ask about the fitment question. They said it was something they saw a few years ago and was rare? As I don't expect to need a "CHUCK LOAD" of mags (no offense Chuck, I travel light) :-) I ordered the 3 pack of Wilson's from Brownell's since they had them in stock.

No offense taken, I don't get many opportunities to visit the range so when I can go I'd rather shoot then load magazines. If that means hauling 40+ magazines then so be it.

Thumbs up One more for Joe's Mags!

I bought five Joe's mags for my 10 mm and they work great! Could not beat the price anywhere. The quality is very good also.
