ISO IWB for Ultra Carry

Seeking advice from the forum concerning recommended all-leather options for IWB CC of my Series I Ultra Carry.

I have been carrying the UC in a KC Gunleather small-of-back holster for a number of years now but am wanting to move to strong side carry IWB at 3-4:00.

When I carry my Ultra CDP-II, I carry at the 4:00 position in a Milt Sparks Versamax II (VM2). Very well made, comfortable and good retention. Wait is about six months, but very well worth the wait.

If you want a very well made leather IWB at a bit less cost and quicker lead time, check out Adams Leatherworks in TX. Eric Adams does extremely good work, and offers two versions of IWB carry for the 1911 of all flavors. I have one for my Micro 9 and could not be more pleased. Wait is about 4 months, but again, well worth the wait.

My Milt Sparks VM2 with my Ultra aboard:

You could always try a holster from Stirn Holsters, Conceal and Carry, Custom Made Leather Holsters. They look to be very nice holsters.

For my Ultra TLE, I use a Tucker Gunleather Cover-Up plus and have had good luck.

Thanks all for the advice about the Milt Sparks VMII. With all of the available options, this just might be the best way to go.

I actually have this holster for my Smith & Wesson Model 60-15 and find it very practical as well as comfortable for all-day carry. With the optional horsehide layer to the inside (against my body), I am not worried about sweat penetration during summer months.

Thanks all for your support....I went ahead and ordered another Milt Sparks VMII (horsehide) in black for my Ultra Carry. 12-18 weeks lead time. Will post photo on receipt.
