I carried 2 K6s’s today.....

I’ve had the 2” K6s for a couple of weeks, and the 3” K6s for about a week. They have quickly become among my favorite carry pieces, each carried in my favorite device, a Tommy’s Original gun pack at 12 o’clock under an untucked fishing type shirt. Not visible to the casual observer, and very rapid access with its clever “not a buckle but the way it opens” buckle system. It also has a zippered front compartment in which I carry 2 Tuff Products 8 round speed strips, each with 6 rounds of 357 mag Hornady Critical Defense 125 grain JHP or Remington Express 125 grain SJHP as my mood of the day dictates.

I also always have in my left front pocket either a Ruger LCR in .38, a Ruger LCP .380, or a Beretta Pico .380. Each in the appropriate size DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.

Today on a whim I tried the 2” K6s in the left front pocket in place of the LCR, in the LCR’s Nemesis, and surprisingly to me it felt great. Heavier then the LCR by several ounces, but the way the pocket held it it didn’t bob and sway, so was very comfortable. The rubber boot grip was just below the top of the pocket, and easy to quickly grab.

So I strapped on the 3” in the Tommy’s gun pack, and went about my day with my two “almost twins” K6s’s concealed. Felt very good having 2 6-shot .357 magnum revolvers and 24 rounds of ammo guarding my wife and myself. I predict I’ll be doing this a lot.
Chuck43, 2sharp2, Jflytle and 2 others like this.

I have one 2" K6S, but I have carried it and my Ruger SP101 2.25" at the same time. I really felt like they would handle about anything.

I normally always carry 2 revolvers. One aiwb and the other inside front pocket. That gives me capacity (New York reload)
and (maybe) more importantly , 2 choices of drawing my weapon. If I'm walking through some "shady" area, I can have my hand in my pocket on my gun ready for a greased Lightening draw. Or if I'm surprised, I can draw my aiwb weapon.

My k6s is my aiwb gun and my pocket gun is a rotation of 442, 640, LCR, or sp101, Whichever I'm in the mood for.
