Ulticlip

I'm not fond of wearing a belt nor of the sticky holsters. This Ulticlip looks like a good alternative when carrying a relatively light pistol. Any opinions?

First I've heard of that one. I'm not sold on it.

You may not like wearing a belt but it would be a small sacrifice to make for the comfort and security it will provide while carrying a gun. What I learned while looking for the perfect holster was that it didn't begin with the holster, it started with a belt. Once I got a good gun belt all the holster problems went away. A good holster should hold your gun securely, a belt holds the holster in place while you draw your gun. Using any of my holsters clipped directly to my pants would significantly slow my draw down, the holster may not come off of my pants but I can see the waist band of my pants being drawn up along with my gun in the holster. The belt also takes the weight of the gun off of you, I used to feel the weight of the gun on my side and tire of it. With a good belt I can comfortably carry any of my 3", 4" or 5" guns all day long and forget that they are even on my side.

No first hand experience, but my first impression is I don't like it. But....that's just my opinion.

A belt also keeps your gun tighter to your body for better concealment.

I must confess, I'm also looking for "simpler, lighter, deeper" concealment rigs.

Despite our "rights" in Wisconsin for both CCW and open carry, our area is rife with liberal exclusion zones. You cannot even walk in a straight line to get a sandwich at my local mall without crossing permitted, non-permitted and permitted stores and hallways.

I would guestimate that +95% of the time I'm wearing a two-inch leather belt and jeans, so a proper Bianchi holster is no problem. But I did recently buy that pull-out, deep concealment holster, which will arrive here on 12-31-15.

There are times when you have to adapt to a different method, or go unarmed. And right now in our history, I'd rather try something new, test it now, and find an option before I really need one by necessity.

Let's give this new option a fair shake.

I have 3 holsters for my 3 carry guns and the clips are sewn into the leather...

I'm guessing those clips would have to be cut out and then add on the "Ulticlip" ???

If it matters, I do wear a belt while carrying....

If a holster is properly worn, I never seen an issue that he's trying to convey. Is this not just some money making gimmick?
