Micro 9 accuracy, your thoughts?

I've had the Micro 9 for some months now. I've run a few hundred rounds thru it. Even took it for a serious swim, but that's another tale. I've run a few different brands of ammo thru it. Pistol runs reliably. It's rock solid dependable. It's a great carry piece.

I usually shoot targets at 7 yards. With either of the Micro 380's in the house I can usually come up with 4" groups, maybe a couple of fliers.
With the Micro 9 I'm pretty well all over an 8" target. There is no group. No key holing, the crown looks fine under magnification. Bore and rifling look to me to be perfect.

Any thoughts???

Doc

First thing would be to determine if it was the gun or gunner. Try shooting it off of some sandbags and ask someone you know to be a good shot to run a couple of magazines through it.

Mine is shooting great groups although low left with certain ammo...

I was actually amazed how accurate this little guy is...

Chuck, I know your right. I've got a couple of my tribesmen who could probably shed some light. I guess I'll fork the Micro 9 over and see what verdict they come back with. I'll report back.

There are variations between pistols of the same model as we all know, though dramatic differences would be odd. I have been very pleased with the accuracy of my Micro 9. At about the same distance, aimed I get a ~3" group, and merely pointed and rapid fired it expands to about 5".

YSO... I'd be perfectly content with 3" groups. Rapid fire 5" groups are something that I'd be real pleased with.

Anybody can do it, all it takes is a lot of practice. Unfortunately if you don't continue to practice the skill it diminishes with time.

There are a lot of factors, as Chuck mentioned, try some other shooters to see how they do with the gun. If you shoot good with other micro guns then you might have a gun issue.

Just not a lot of pistol to hang on to! Especially with the Rosewood grips, the Micro 9 doesn't offer much "purchase". I compared the Mic9 with my LC9s that has two layers of tape and a HandAll band...all the difference in the world.

Same problem I had with my beautiful P938SAS...hate to start wrapping the nice wood grips with tape or rubber! Dang! With no 7-round extended mag available, this presents quite a challenge for those of us with XL-sized hands.

I'll nick the bullseye a time or two @ 7 yards; but you folks with 3" groups have my utmost respect and admiration. With any sort of speed, I'm happy to stay inside the 7" circle(as long as I get those one or two bulls !)

I'm still fiddling with my grip on this tiny pistol...same as my former P938

Agreed. I also have trouble with the factory grips to the point where I"m getting 'safety bite' from the recoil and keep swiping the safety on after nearly every shot. I just added a pair of SGMs to mine in the hope that it will solve the problem.
