Range Report #2 - Multiple problems. WTF Kimber?

FINALLY got out to shoot again today. Put about 150 rounds through my stainless Micro 9. Shot Winchester white box and Federal Premium. Both 115gn. FMJ, RN.

Ok, this thing groups TIGHT. I was getting like 2" at 7 yards without trying hard. It's accurate. That's about all it is.

This things shoots REALLY high. Like 6" high at that distance... and I tried covering, splitting and directly under... and even when holding under, it's REALLY high. So, I either need to compensate by aiming really low or send it in to Kimber. Ugh.

Still had multiple failures to return to battery. Happened with both brands of ammo and both magazines I had. Again, UGH. Come on Kimber. What the hell?

And a new problem today! The last round of each magazine hit me right in the face/head. Holy shit... do the problems ever end?

I thought Kimber was a premium product. I have honestly never had so many issues with a new firearm. Maybe I shoulda got the Sig 938?

Change the Micro's diet. Apparently it doesn't like WWB ammo and I can't blame it because it's dirty as hell...

Before you send it back, try a heavy bullet 147gr and break it in with that and if you have to shoot 115gr then see how it shoots with it after the gun is broke in..

I 110% agree with Marshall, try 147gr and something besides WWB.

Hang in there. Try what others have recommended . Grease or oil the frame rails then shoot the hell out of it. The FTRB is a fit issue. After a little while it should start to work itself out. In Kimbers quest for perfection and accuracy they have managed to creat frustration in one way or the other. Don't give up just some simple maintains C will work wonders. If not send it off to KIMBER !
Just don't give up on that pistol.

Sorry to hear that your having some issues with your new gun. I'm sure you know the routine, clean it good, go a little heavy on the lube and listen to the above posts. Good luck.

Neither one of my Micro 9s will run using the 7 round mags. Kimber even sent me replacements, they didn't work either. Numerous failures to feed and return to battery failures. Using the 6 round mag, both of them have been perfect. I ended up ordering 3 more 6 rounders.

I had tried every thing with the 7 round magazines. Gripping it with my pinkie, using a two hand grip with both pinkies arched out and not touching the extension, pinkie under the magazine. Maybe if I held the gun upside down.

I like the guns and they are easy to carry, so I will just use the 6 rounders.

Just got my Micro 9 today and will testing at the range for the first time in about an hour so I don't have any suggestions. I can say that I have had a few guns that haven't liked WWB. My Ruger.380 couldn't stand WWB and would jam on the 2nd or 3rd round in a mag every time but I zero issues with other brands. Because of this I have stayed away from WWB for all my guns

The behavior is identical with Federal Premium 115gn FMJ RN. It's not a WWB issue.
