Converting sights

i know a lot people are wanting fiber optic sites for the micros. I wondering if anyone has attempted to drill out a standard sight and insert the fiber optic. I've seen the fiber optic pins on various sites.
I don't know how hard the metal in sight is but it seem that it could be done fairly easily unless the sights are made from cast or real hard metal.

I have tritium green (that's how I would describe them) on my SIG P238.

Would they fit on a Micro 380 Kimber? It would be close, the magazines interchange, and I'll bet most of the lock-work does, too.

I've read that the dovetails are different, I thought about trying it. in a few months they Tru glos will be available thru Kimber. i'm sure they have a significant mark up on them like all the other accessories they sell.

Buying direct from Kimber seems a bit more expensive. As far as drilling (DYI). Hope you have a good drill. The fiber sights do nothing in the dark. I do want some to try on one of my range guns to see if it improves my accuracy.

I don't know about total darkness, but I have a set fiber optics on my UC II and they quite visible in low light and bright light. I love them and want some for my Micros.

If you can make a set of TruGlo TFX Pro sights work, you'll have fiber optics and night sights. I have them on my FNX-45 and may add them to my FN 509. Don't need them on my Kimbers as the TLEs already had factory night sights from Meprolight.

Agree! I really like the TruGlo sights. The best of both worlds ... fiber optic / night sights. I've install a couple of sets of these and have a set for my Sig 1911 yet to be installed. They work as advertised.

I have several guns with TFX sights and they work great.
