Eclipse Gauges

When cleaning i noticed some small gouges on my frame. Right where the slide and frame meet. Dont have a clue how this would have happened. Is this normal?

Sorry title is misspelled, got to blame the phone.

Only has had one trip to the range with 150 rounds. Only use plastic tools to clean the gun. When shooting I did notice little slivers of brass inside there as well. Using American Eagle 124gr.

My woodland night did the same thing finish would just start chipping like crazy just like that every time I shot it. They will refinish it for you but it never fixed the problem. And would happen again first time to the range.

Yea after three trips back to Kimber they agreed to replace my woodland night with a raptor. Figured if I went with a stainless one the finish issues would go away.
