Loose round falling out

Hi all, been off forum a while. Remember seeing a thread about the 7 rd mags dropping a round when full and removed. Ran thru multiple pages and also did a search with no results. Does not seem to cause any feed issues though. Looks like when compressed it allows the top round to slide forward just enough catch the tip as mag is dropped. Love my Desert Tan LG, EDC.

Thanks

Both of my Micro 9's will drop a round when I pop a mag out. The round in the chamber stays, but the top bullet in the mag falls to the ground. It doesn't affect anything as for as shooting every round and doesn't happen every time.

Thanks, think that was it. I had cleaned up that area on bottom of slide to make it rack smoother as well as eased the bottom rear edge of the firing pin retainer plate. will go back and polish it up a little but since this is happening with no slide movement not optimistic. It occurs when I put in a mag, release slide, pull out mag to replace the one that was loaded, then take that fully loaded mag out to clear weapon. Probably need to shoot more, have not kept count but under 250 rounds I believe.

If I understand this right, I had the same problem with a couple of mags for my AR rifle. I know its not your pistol but what was happening is the follower was hanging a bit inside the mag. I had to clean up the inside and give the spring a slight stretch. Then no more problems. The articles above seem to depict mag probs too.
If you can gently release the mag holding the gun straight, see if there is any looseness in the top round. If it just drops off then this is the prob.

Had that happen on two little pistols when they were new. Both cleared themselves up after a bit of shooting.

Thanks for the info John. I have noticed that it only happens with a couple of mags out of the 10 that I have for my Micro so I will try your remedy out.

The very same thing happens with the Sig P938 and the solution described in the Sig forums is the same one as posted by Marshall.
