Folks - Thanks for the info!

HOWEVER, why can't Kimber post a video to show the way they want it done? Or better yet, show an illustration in their manual and website of where these oiling points are for us newbies?????

Um, excuse me sir. We have women folk reading KimberTalk, and that type of crude language will not be tolerated. Just wait until our moderator reads what you wrote.

P.S.
Did you WATCH those videos? I tried the Eclipse one, but then saw that it was 26 minutes. Life is too short to squander 26 minutes watching an asshat. Then I tried the other one. It's shorter, but the first thing I noticed was that the guy had hands like a fairy princess. If I'm going to watch a fashion queen handling guns, she'd better be wearing a bikini and high heels.

My first semi auto was my Eclipse Pro II and I had the same problem. Back in 2004 when I bought this gun I had no internet to watch videos and it took some time for me to figure out how to properly clean my new 1911. One thing to remember is if something is metal it should have oil. I donít mean pouring oil all over your gun but maybe wet patch or oil rag and wipe down the metal parts. Wipe up any excess oil.

If it slides or pivots, oil it. Lightly.
