Kimber ESV

Was looking to buy one of the new models and wondered if the slide serrations actual vent the barrel or is it just a look thing ?

The slide is ported the barrel is not. This is the best price I’ve seen.

To my understanding besides looking snazzy … slide ports are a way of fine tuning the weight of the slide for optimal performance and reduce recoil.

One mag?? … hmmm?... my new Sig X5 came with FOUR, twenty rounders … and wasn't that much more money for a full size 5" gun.

It is a pretty little gun... but seems pricey.

If you can get this Micro 9 in the $630 range I don’t think the price is bad because it comes with night sights which I prefer on a carry gun. The ports in the slide also add to the price. If you compare it to other Micro 9s it’s not bad. Would I like to see a $499 price “Hell Yeah”. It is new to the market so hopefully the price drops over time.

Well, I gave 725 for mine (at my lgs), just couldn't pass it up after seeing it.
If you have the patience, the price should drop after a few months.

Congratulations, looking forward to hear what you have to say after you get to the range.

I have only had the opportunity to put 50-60 rounds through it so far. Accuracy was acceptable. It will be better when trigger gets broken in some. I had one FTE while shooting one-handed, (cheap range ammo). I was shooting a mix of Remington and Winchester 115 grain.
