need help with damaged spring

Hey Guys,
I was installing Tru-Glo sites on my M9, all went well until I tried to install the rear site and the spring that goes under neath the site. While installing, the spring was damaged, what is that spring called and where can I get one? I looked on line for a schematic of the M9 but could not find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info, I looked everywhere for a schematic EXCEPT in the owners manual. I will give Kimber a call in the morning to order. Thanks again.

Itís amazing what youíll find in your owners manual.

I hate when your in the middle of a project and something goes flying and you canít find where it landed or something breaks. The cost isnít the problem itís waiting for the new part to arrive or when you need a $1 part and it cost $10 to ship.

I have an M&P I’m always tinkering with, so when I lose a small part now, I just order 2 of them, figuring the odds are....

I agree with Dog on this ... springs, screws, shims ... whatever ... order a few extras. I've been tinkering on my Sig 320s and the small " hairpin" action springs are sneaky fast on the get away and real easy to bend while reinstalling. I ordered six.

When my shootin' bud, another 320 owner, and I were working at my bench, he said, "Damn, I bent the spring! I'm gonna have to order one!" You should have seen his face when I reached into my parts bin and handed him a new spring ... priceless.

Hey guys,
Called Kimber the other day to order a new spring, Like above I was going to order a couple so I would have a spare. Talked to Montana in tech support, he said no worries I will send you one no charge so I thanked him and will order my spare later. Did fire the pistol with the shortened spring had no problems. I JUST HAD to test out the new sights.
