Sig P938-Kimber Micro 9

Just a question more out of curiosity than anything else. Do owners of the Sig P938 have as many issues as the folks do with the Kimber Micro 9's...?? Seems that there are a lot of issues people always seem to be having with the Micro 9's and I can't find nor do I hear about many issues with the 938's.

Never had a problem with my P938 nor P238. Only had one problem with the wife's micro 380 but after they sent me the new recoil assembly no problem since then and she now has two of them.

I had so many issues with my Sig P938 (7 in all) in just 18 months I finally couldn't trust it anymore and sold it. And this was a 2016 gun, not an early model.

The last straw was when the guide rod snapped off at the threads and was launched down range never to be seen again.

My buddy has one he has had no problems with but he has not put anywhere near the rounds through it that I did mine. I shoot my guns a lot, I think a lot of carry guns that some deem reliable simply don't see that much use.

Never had a Micro 9 can't help there.

I'm not sure there are as many problems with Micro 9s as one might think from following this forum. I have had zero problems with mine except for a finish issue (black Kimpro) which they resolved in a week.

If you go on any "brand" forum you read more problem posts than "gee it's great" posts.

If anybody owns both a 938 and a Micro9 and can do a real life experience-based comparison, I'd love to hear from them.

I have both pistols, both have right around 500 rnds downrange. So far, zero issues with either weapon. Both shoot to POA, both are accurate to the same degree (for a weapon of this nature), both have been 100% reliable, both get carried in the same IWB leather rig almost daily.

And a neat non-intended plus is that the magazines are interchangeable between pistols.

I have a P938 and it’s been a reliable carry gun. The only issue I had was when I reassemble it incorrectly when replacing some parts. My fault not Sig. It’s been great ever since. Never shot a Micro 9.

I have both also and have had zero issues other than my index finger would hide the LG on my Micro 9. I think it is a finger issue more than gun related.

Most people only post about problems. Very rarely will people yap about how good their gun is. By the way I have both and neither has had any problems as long as you brake it in right and use GOOD ammo. Be safe.
