Went by local gun shop to pick up a couple of boxes of ammo for my wife. Was glancing through the multiple display cases and what did I see but the ugliest micro-9 I had ever seen. Called over to the sales guy and asked "you got a paper bag back there?" He said "have a plastic one, what you need?" Told him I needed something to catch the puke as I was fixing to throw up. He asked why? I said "This god-awful purple micro-9 is just "too much". He said "it is only $729." I said not the price. The color. A purple gun? Ack...

Had never seen one before (thought the malibu blue was more than enough ugly for a gun). Hope I never see such again...

My wife is thinking about getting a micro-9 herself after seeing and shooting mine. Jeez, I hope she doesn't like purple. Will probably get me banned from the local shooting ranges...

Guns are like women. Sometimes even the ugly ones are a lot of fun.
Just call me Harold, or whatever you want.

And Mrs Bentlink adores her Micro 9 Sapphire. It's a great pistol but a bit fussy for me. Shooting it I'd sell me on the platform, and I went for the SHOT Show model in basic goes with everything.

Having been born in the late Jurassic Period, my tastes in handgun finishes run pretty much on the old-school theme, conservative if you will.

That said, "girly color" pistols don't appeal to me at all, nor my wife for that matter, BUT look at it this way, if some silly color is all it takes to get wifey out to the range and practice and maybe even carry the thing, she'll most likely have fun and want to go again. Then pink, blue or whatever..... it must be all good, right?

I am sure women would like it. If mine sees it, it might have a chance of being chosen. I was talking about "me". Nickel. Stainless. Blued. Armoralled. Parkerized. Camo. All are OK for guns I would carry / use. But not purple. Not having the LBGT or whatever the devil they are now following me around saying "aw, look at that purty gun..."

You have option to not buy it. That is the beauty of a free market system.
