Guide rod and spring replacement

How many round thru a Micro 9 before the guide rod and springs should be replaced? Just looking for info and recommendations before I have issues that could have been avoided. Thanks!!

The guide rod should last forever, on the spring check your manual. I don't have a Micro 9, on my .380 they suggest 1k for spring intervals.

According to the Micro 9 owners manual, replace after 1500 rounds.

We have a Micro Carry 380. I replaced the spring and guide rod, it really improved the performance of it. I don't know how many rounds had gone through it. You should be able to tell when when it starts to act different.

Keep in mind on the .380s the recoil spring was updated to a flat wire design a few years back. The newer design of spring required a new guide rod. The older rod without the notch doesn't work well with the new spring, almost impossible to fit things together. Kimber originally sent owners the rig (rod and spring). When the time comes though all you need to replace is the spring. Unless it gets run over by a truck that new rod should be good to go :-) For the Micro 9s there hasn't been a retrofit so they all have the same guide rods.
Good to see you back on KT Markie :-)
