I understand about not being experienced with this on a Micro 9, I doubt anyone here is. That's why I'm asking questions.

My uneducated guess is that the issue is the Micro 9 slide isn't wide enough (rounded top) unlike a subcompact Glock 43 (shown below) with the RMS-C. Beautiful low profile design.

With the Glock, only a bit of milling gets down to the flats (width) of the slide. But With the Micro's rounded top slide there's going to be a more narrow area milled on the top of the slide for mounting.

I'll be interested to see pics of your Micro 9 when finished.

Here the latest. Got my new front sight installed and sighted in. Still waiting on the Shield RMSc to arrive. Almost ready to give up on that optic and get a Jpoint. They seam to be more readily available.
Here are some photos of the build and todays range day. The trigger still needs to be refined. Feels very gritty compared to my carry gun. Please forgive me the shots are off hand not from a rest.
