...why mount a light to a Micro 9??? ...here's the torch that I have on my night stand along with my Kimber Pro CDP II .45 ACP:

Olight - M23 Javelot Flashlight w/ Omni-Dok - CREE XP-L LED - 1020 Lumens - 2 x CR123A - OL-M23-KIT
OLIGHT, The M23 Javelot features a CREE XP-L high intensity LED and produces 1050 lumens with a max beam distance of 436m. The torch has three brightness levels ranging from 20 to 1050 lumens plus a strobe mode. 2 x CR123A or 1 x 18650 batteries power the M23.

I got it from St. Nick Knives here in north Alabama...

...if you have to have a free hand, then set up a 1911... just mho...

I will add that not all my handguns have a light, so I practice often with the Harries or hand up high technique. Prefer the latter so the BG doesnt get a bead on your exact location. Rather have a digit blown off versus having my head ventilated.

I'm very partial to Fenix torches - have 4 of them. They appear to be well made, have never let me down and are a good value.
Chuck43 and Oklahomabound like this.

If you wear body armor and are protected from that dead give away of your position being stretched out in front of your face or chest be my guest. For home Defence, always a off hand light used when needed only and a laser on the pistol. Your more apt to get shot center mass with that flash light hanging from your pistol out in front of you. Dead give away of position and a handy bullseye for the bad guy. No Thanks. Leave the toys for the Tacticool people
