Cool New Micro Range Report Issues? Ideas???

New micro Custom Shop, CDP with laser, shot 150 rds today, 100 White box and 50 Remington. 1 Failure to feed.

Larger issue, cannot rack slide intermittent.

a. Gun is in battery.
b. Insert Mag either 7 or 6.
c. Attempt to rack slide.
d. Will not rack.
e. Push mag button will not release mag.
f. Push mag button and pull mag out.
g. Insert mag, rerack, sometimes yes sometimes no??????

Kimber is sending new spring & guide rod but I don't believe that is related to this issue.

Sounds like when she shot things went well so that's good. I have only shot the Winchester white box once but my Micro didn't care for that?
On the racking issue, this is just a thought, but the safety WILL prevent the slide from moving when the hammer isn't cocked if it's engaged. Perhaps the safety isn't completely disengaging? If it's an issue with the safety the problem should happen even when there's not a mag in the pistol. If it turns out the problem doesn't occur with the mag out that would seem to eliminate that from the mix. With both of my 6 round mags I find after completely loading them if I compress the cartridges a little more there's a slight "click", they seat deeper and the mag requires less pressure to fully insert it. The fact that the mag release is so stiff kinda suggests the cartridges aren't seated deep enough in the mag? Maybe that extra pressure is binding up the slide? Hope that helps some.

Safety is definitely off. Just cannot pull slide back to rack round.

Will the slide travel freely if the guide rod and barrel are not installed? Can you verify that the guide rod not being impeded by the front of the slide? It should be about flush with the hole in the slide that it travels through.

That looks OK, I'll just wait until I get the new guide rod and spring from Kimber and give it another try in a few weeks, it's time to go to the Bahamas fishing now. I'll report back on my findings.
