Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois bgreen, the micro 9 is Kimbers newest model and I don't know of anyone selling extended mags for it yet. You might try an extended mag from a Sig P938, the Sig P238 mags work in the Micro Carry.

The Sig 7 round extended mags do not work in the Micro 9. The base plastic needs to be trimmed in order to fit the Micro 9. The 6 round Sig P938 mags are interchangeable and readily available.

I spoke to Kimber about Micro 9 magazine availability and they said currently they are holding mags for guns in production, but will have availability shortly (shortly is an unknown timeline).

Fear Not an alternative to Micro 9 Mags are available. Kimber said both the 6 round flat base and the 7 round extended will not be available until OCT. So I ordered the SIG 938 6 round and 7 round extended mag. The 6 Round FLAT BASE fits perfect out of the box. The 7 round EXTENDED required I trim down almost 1/8 inch on the top edge of the black base all the way around so the mag would seat properly, I used a DREMEL TOOL.

Welcome from Northeast,Pa bgreen and Hank. Another member just trimmed a 7-round Sig mag to fit his Micro-9. He said it worked well.

Hank (and others?) -- would/could y'all post some pix of just what you 'ground down' to make the mag work? I'm not an engineer (or a guy!) so I don't know what I would do to make it work. I've pretty much decide that the 9mm Micro is my next gun (decided against the Ruger 10/22 -- cause I don't really WANT a long gun!) -- so I'm planning ahead for mags...

I'd like to know as well. While I'm also "not a guy" I am pretty handy with tools and doing stuff on my own, so I would totally try the dremel. Just need to understand exactly what area needs to be ground down.

I've been looking for the Sig mags as I was also told by a dealer that they would work. What sucks is they appear to be going for over $40 when the Kimbers are supposed to retail for under $30

All you have to do is slide the grip extension off. I used a sanding block and a file. I took my time and just took a little at a time until the magazine locked into place with the extension installed. ImageUploadedByOutdoor Forums1469151741.448764.jpg
