Thumbs down Going back To Kimber Part Deux & Trois

New Micro 380 CDP, weird issue:

With extended mag, tried WW,Rem,Prospec, no difference, gun has 300 rds fired.

Shoot 7, slide locks back;

Insert Extended Mag;

Cannot retract slide the last inch or so to release;

Push Mag release will not release Mag;

Force mag out with more pressure, Mag releases.

Happens greater than 75%.

I don't notice this with 6 rd mag.

[has new spring & guide rod]

Also; gun in battery, insert Extended Mag, rack slide, will not chamber shell.

Going back to the cradle again, same issues except now extended mag randomly drops.

The [FIRST] fix:

Extractor & Mag follower adjusted
Replaced: Thumb Safety left & Right,Ambi hammer pin,Hammer, Sear, Recoil Spring, Slide Stop, & Slide Stop Spring
Refinished barrell
Chamber reamed & polished.

Will take it the range ASAP.

Failed with same issues, shot 100 rds. WWB. and new issue of mag dropping out.

Good Luck - Part Deux

Issues are a pain and nothing to take lightly. Yonkers will make you happy if possible. If not, rent something different before you buy.

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.

...I'd be raising hell with the corporate office and demanding a replacement. I have been told I get passionate about things like this but that's not a cheap pistol and you should get what you paid for!
...just my opinion :-)

What a damn shame. That some are flawless right out of the box; and others are prone to repeated problems that shouldn't be. Those wild swings in quality of product make me wonder what goes on in that factory.
Mine was cured with a new spring and guide rod, works fine now. I'm sure Kimber will make it right but you shouldn't have to put up with this s**t.
Hang in there and good luck with Yonkers.

This is a new Micro CDP custom shop with laser, my Siggy 238 works fine along with the cz's. Virtually most parts have been replaced already.

FAILED again, after changing out virtually all the parts to this "gun" experienced failures again, on it's way back to Kimber for the THIRD time, same issues. The issue is one of failure to properly chamber a round with the slide open or closed. Why they have not changed out the barrel or slide or examined the Mag to insure it places the round in the proper position to be fed up the ramp is beyond me. Unless this gets "cured" this go around I'm afraid I've finished with my Kimber "experiment".

Nutshell Version

Slide open
Insert Mag either 7 or 6
Rack slide
FAIL FAIL FAIL
Will not feed round when slide is retracted and let loose.

Winchester WB, Remington and Pro-Spec failures.

I agree. It's time for you to move on from Kimber.
